Wine Making

Our fruit was sourced from the Sagemoor Vineyards Group, Pasco, WA. - More specifically, from their Bacchus, Dionysus and Sagemoor vineyards. The Sagemoor Group of Vineyards is one of Washington State’s oldest, premium vinifera producers. The hot, dry summer ushered in a surprisingly long and temperate fall that allowed intense flavors to develop without a loss of balancing acid. Rock Meadow Cellars took full advantage of the extended growing season and chose to harvest the varietals late in their harvesting cycle. Balancing new (50%) and neutral (50%) oak barreling, the resulting wines are rich and flavorful, but balanced and focused with light to medium oak and in most cases, soft vanilla overtones.
