Welcome to Rock Meadow Cellars
One evening while dining in the barn, six couples, brought together by a passion for tasting red wines and creating delicious cuisine, made the commitment to become respectable winemakers. Five years have passed since that fateful evening and we are quite pleased to be producing these hand-crafted wines.
While our fruit is sourced from the eastern Washington- Sagemoor Vineyards Group, (more specifically, from their Bacchus, Dionysus and Sagemoor vineyards), we turn their well tended grapes into exquisite wines in our barn winery surrounded by a meadow and evergreen trees of western Washington.
We’ve hand-picked, hand-sorted, hand-pressed, and even stomped on a few clusters of these flavor-filled grapes– all to the beat of a local rock station. As you open each bottle of Rock Meadow Wine feel the twelve other hands that have caressed this juice, making it the inviting and pleasurable experience that will linger with you until you open another and another and another. Rock on!
Our 2006 wines were released on September 28, 2008 with a limited 260 cases available. It was a glorious fall day gathering of Family and Friends of Rock Meadow Cellars. ALL of our cases of 2006 Rockin’ Red, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon were purchased! We’ve reserved 25 cases of the 2006 Syrah for an anticipated February, 2009 release.
If you missed our September “Bash in the Grass” release event and you would like to be added to our e-mail list for future events and purchasing opportunities please e-mail us at rockinreds@rockmeadowcellars.com.
